Healthy Active Program
A launch of the program occured to gain interest in particiapting and for attendees to learn more about physical activity and health. Upon agreeing to participate, all participants were asked to complete a questionnaire to help us assess their goals and to help us assess if this program is effective.
Throughout the program, employees had access to a dedicated website for support and telephone health coaching by a trained health coach. Health Coaching is a practice in which accredited health professionals apply evidence based techniques from the fields of psychology, counselling and lifestyle coaching. Calls varied in time for each individual.
In addition, Whittlesea Council held a men's health information session in conjunction with Andrology Australia featuring Merv Hughes.
The program lasted for 6 months and is now in the final evaluation stage.
